I forgot...

• how tiny babies are
• how sweet their milky breath is
• how endearing it is to watch them try to nurse anything that comes remotely near their mouth (blankets, clothing, the back of their hands, air, etc)
• how nice it is that they just sleep and sleep and sleep at first
• how amazing it is to see them study the faces of the voices they know from in utero
• how quickly you fall in love and wonder how you managed life prior to knowing this new person.
