Summer Fashion Week: Day 7

Fashion Week has now come to a close.  It has been a lot of fun to see everyone's great ideas and spunky personalities, it has also been weird to take a picture of myself every day and share it with the world!  However, being "forced" to share myself and my wardrobe with the world has given me a fresh perspective.  It's a little like inviting an acquaintance to dinner.  Suddenly those little clutter spots you had been over looking are glaringly obvious.

(this is what happens when your cameraman is four years old and wants to see how low you can go)
A little bit better, but blurry
Shirt: Eddie Bauer, from mom's closet
Tank (seen a little bit in the top picture): Great Outdoors, Fred Meyer
Skirt: Mica, Thrifted
Shoes: No Boundaries, "vintage"
Pearl Bracelet: Gifted for Prom (1998) from my step-father

Elliot (age 3), still in jams, toy motorcycle in hand

  1. Those are real "family" photos, love it! The skirt is gorgeous. And Eddie Bauer shirts are the best - they never fade, they never lose shape, I have many of them, too.

  2. Thanks for commenting, Appletree! This is one of my favorite skirts.

You are so right about Eddie Bauer shirts! My mom knows a thing or two about buying clothes. I am always glad when she brings home things that are "too young" for her =) (for this is how I have inherited nearly all my eddie bauer clothing!)

  3. Love the skirt, but the best accessorie has to be the little man by your side!

  5. Oh Shana - please forgive me for calling you Joy! I don't know what I was thinking. Also, I think you have about the cutest blog header I have ever seen.

  7. Christina - He would probably want me to add that he is almost 5 =) He actually takes a lot of my fashion pics, but I think he was trying to make me work it or something!

  8. The top photo is so adorable and candid. Nice job, Soren!

That top looks great on you. It fits so well.

  9. Thank you Charlotte! Soren wanted to know what you look like (convenient time to ask, no?), and he said, "but I only got one of your eyes." We are our own worst critics - the lesson of the week!

This is a favorite top. Nice that it works all year round in the Northwest!

  10. I LOOOVE that you're wearing jewelry from prom! Very cool. And that black border on the skirt makes the outfit really fit together, you know? Not that it wouldn't fit together without it or anything. And what 'clutter spots'? I hope you are only seeing all the beauty shine through when you look back on these pictures of yourself this week.

  11. Rachael - I actually started searching for actual prom pictures to do with it...but that meant also finding my scanner...and so I was derailed. I have really enjoyed pairing this skirt with this shirt, but seeing the border in the picture today sealed the deal!

As for the "clutter spots," I suppose I was thinking of all the items of clothing I did deem photo worthy....perhaps they need to go?! But thank you for your lovely encouraging words. Discovering your blog was one of the highlights of my fashion week.
