Conversations with Søren: Baby Names

Søren: If we have a baby girl maybe we could name her William Tell Overture.

Me: Hmmm

Søren: Or maybe Bella.

Me: What do you think of the name Penelope?

Søren: That's a bue-ja-ful (beautiful) name. It makes me want to swim in a river. I want to swim in a river by myself because that is such a buejaful name.

Penelope Bella Scrivner - well, it's a mouthful, but it could work ;)

More likely Penelope Grace Alene Scrivner....perhaps still a mouthful!

Bella...well, we found out it's one of the most popular girls names right now, so I'm trying to open Soren's horizons to some other options. We shall see.

I like Audrey too, but Penelope offers a literary reference.

Amazing to think the whole name mystery will be behind us within 2 months!

Steph - Thanks for commenting! Penelope really has been my favorite from the beginning and the only name I actually feel good about. It is just everyone else in our family (occasionally my husband included) who seem to think I'm crazy (of course, they felt that way about Soren too).
