Conversations with Søren: On School

Søren, while gathering his Little People: "Oh, they need to go to school!"

Momma, fetching the appropriate vehicle: "Ah, here is their bus."

Søren: "School is scary."

Momma: "Really? Why is school scary?"

Søren: "Because of all the kids there."

  1. The first time I took Emma to storytime at the library when she was 2 she freaked. We left the room and I asked her what was wrong. She said she didn't want to go in because there were too many little people in there. She was totally nervous about it being a room full of people her size.

  2. It's probably a little like walking into Oz. I never thought about how unaccustomed wee ones would be to the company of other wee ones.

    However, one of Soren's favorite places in the world is church, which is a bunch of little people. Mysterious child he is.
